6 Hrs Later: Zion National Park

Total Stay : 3 days

It was a 3 day weekend and my friends and I were like what should we do? We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Zion. Why? Because I found out Zion has a beautiful gem called "The Narrows". Our trip was just for the weekend, we found a small place to camp right outside of the park (1 hour away). It was well worth it, camping was great, but the hike to the slot canyon "The Narrows" was amazing. You start off hiking by the river next thing you know the water is up to your hips and you just gotta keep hiking. The mountains and canyons are breathtaking. Where the hike begins! I wore yoga pants, hiking boots, hat and took a backpack with snacks. That's really all you need if you're doing a day hike. In my opinion you're going to get wet anyways, so it doesn't really matter what you wear. I saw some people in shorts and others in full waterproof gear. I went with the flow and enjoyed my hiking experience.

The narrows was one of the best hikes I've done to date. It really doesn't compare to anything out in LA.  You have to see and experience it for yourself. There's also plenty to see on the way there, such as Beaver Dam and Coral Pink Sand Dunes which is just a drive away. Until next time Zion...
